Veena Ravi has been amassing a collection of dolls for the past 20-25 years. In her home in Basavanagudi, she has assembled over 6,000 figurines to recreate the underwater city of Dwarka. "We have been gathering these dolls for two decades, and each year we create a new theme, using the figures to narrate different stories from Hindu mythology. This year, we have selected Dwarka, the sacred city believed to have been submerged under the Arabian Sea when Lord Krishna left the world," she explains. This yearly family tradition has grown into a popular local attraction, drawing around 100 visitors daily during the Dasara festival. The preparation for this exhibit begins months in advance, with figurine arrangements commencing in August to ensure every detail is meticulously crafted.
